Disciples Obey Jesus (Luke 9:62)
Overview:
Jesus' call to follow Him costs us something. We can't have Him and our Idols. We can't have Him and our selves. Being a disciple of Jesus requires us to put to death the sin that persists in our lives while also enlivening our holiness. We put off the old man and put on the new and thereby become like Him.
Sermon Text:
Luke 9:62
Sermon Outline:
1. The mortification of sin
2. The vivification of holiness
Ascent Psalm: 34:1-3
Reading: Colossians 3:5-17
