The Gospel according to Ruth (Ruth 4)
Sermon Overview:
Ruth 4
Though Ruth ends like a fairy tale, there are several unresolved problems. How and when are they to be resolved? Orpah and the rest of Maob are still pagans. Elimilech is still dead. There is still no King. The Gospel according to Ruth is that there is a greater Kinsman redeemer, a humbler servant, a greater son who fills Israel's emptiness.
Sermon Outline:
1) Jesus is the greater Kinsman-redeemer
2) Jesus is the greater Servant; the greater Son of promise.
