The Victory of Jesus
Sermon Overview:
Jesus rode into Jerusalem Palm Sunday and was honored as the King. This happened to fulfill the prophesy concerning Him, and yet there was an ironic twist in it. His victory and spoils were going to come through a cross, not a crown. In like manner, we too gain victory through the cross, not the crown.
Sermon Outline:
1. Jesus is the promised King
2. Jesus reigns over heaven and earth
3. Jesus accomplishes all this through a cross
Scripture Reading:
Matthew 21: 1-11
