Luke: The Good News Announced
Sermon Overview:
Luke 1:26-38
Jesus was announced by the angel Gabriel, and what is said about him is nothing short of astounding. This child to be born was going to be given a name that describes his calling. He is given a description that makes him none other than the Son, not of man, but of God. And he is revealed to be the Messiah because he is going to sit on the throne of David and reign forever. All of these aspect of the news received is world changing, life changing and community changing, and we will see why.
