Luke: Jesus’ First Parable (Luke 8:4-8)
Sermon Overview:
Jesus begins to speak in parables to fulfill the Scriptures, and to reveal truth about the nature of his kingdom and the nature of the human condition. For this reason we need to understand what a parable is, the purpose of Jesus using them, and the problems we can run into with them. Only then can we fully appreciate and understand the application of the differing soils.
