Luke: Jesus’ Agenda is Often Not Our Agenda (Luke 9:43-50)
Sermon Overview:
We are often tempted by the evil one and our fleshly desires to make priorities that are completely contrary to what Jesus has for us and for the world. Therefore we must battle against this and repent of our petty agendas, so that we might live according to Jesus’ agenda.
Sermon Outline:
1) Jesus has a mission, but we don’t get it
2) Jesus requires humility, we seek exaltation
3) Jesus is expanding his kingdom, we want to expand ours
