Luke: Jesus Exposes our Self-righteousness (Luke 10:25-37)
Sermon Overview:
We all have a natural propensity to feel self-righteous because we desperately want to be good people, and think that we can inherit eternal life. However, when our righteousness is compared to the true standard of righteousness, we find ourselves exposed and unrighteous.
Sermon Outline:
1) The standard of righteousness is the law of God (v.25-28)
2) The self-righteous redefined terms to justify themselves (v.29-33)
3) The self-righteous are exposed by the truth (v.30-37)
