Faith according to Ruth (Ruth 2:23-3:18)
Sermon Overview:
Ruth 2:23-3:18
Naomi takes the initiative; a bold stroke to fulfill her own prayer because she believes the Lord is with her. Ruth puts herself at risk; is vulnerable because she trusts the Lord will protect and continue to lead her. Boaz knows what he wants but postpones gratification and his desire and obeys the law because he believes if the Lord wishes him to have Ruth as a wife, he'll have Ruth as is wife.
Sermon Outline:
1) Faith is bold
2) Faith trusts
3) Faith obeys
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 116
