Luke: The Baptism of Jesus

Sermon Outline:
Matthew 3:21-22

2. Identification with man under the law
3. Consecrated our New Covenant baptism

Sermon Overview:
In the baptism of Jesus there are three particular aspect of the baptism that effect the nature of our very own baptism. And once we understand Jesus' baptism we can better understand our own baptism. And once we understand our own baptism, it should serve as a great encouragement to our faith, and a great comfort to our souls.

1. Why were the Jews being baptized by John?
2. Why was Jesus baptized by John?
3. How is Christian baptism different than John's baptism?
4. How does your baptism strengthen and encourage your faith?
